Kangaroo & Wine Country

Anthony has promised me for some time that we are going to visit the famous wineries of Kelowna. Road trips was not really my forte but traveling with my little Momoko makes it more appealing.

Our first stop was Misson Hills . Mission Hills Winery definitely did not disappoint in terms of awe inspiring architecture. Imposing pillars, board arches, copper statues, spacious marble grounds, this winery was a dream to walk in. I felt like I was in ancient Greece. I can lay on the grass all day and sip wine. It was our first stop in Kelowna and I can't wait for what's more to come.

Kangaroo Farm is super fun with tones of cute and cuddly animals that you can get up front and personal. In certain times of the years you can even hold the kangaroo babies. It is like a safari experience with kangaroos. The vintage vibe of this farm have me feeling like I am in the Winnie the Pooh movie.

One of the main reason we went to Kelowna is to visit dear friends Jessica, Curtis and their lovely children. They are so adorable and super photogenic as you can see :)

Our favourite winery in terms of taste has to be Ex Nihilo. The mysterious name comes with an interesting story that the waitress will be eager to share. We really recommend trying their wine and cheese pairing. Wine really needs a marriage with food. They enter this symbiotic relationship that just brings out the best in the other.

Our Final Destination was Quail's Gate Winery. It was known for its gorgeous view , but unfortunately Kelowna was veiled by heavy smoke from the wild forest fire. The server showed us from a tourist book what the view would have been if it was clear. She even had the page book marked. We decided to leave lunch there for another time.

Thank you so much for reading !
