Autumn's Warmth

Autumn has always been my favourite season.  Vibrant orange, lustrous gold against dark forest green made everyday a cheerful one. No longer do we rely on blue sky and sunny day to feel awake. Personally I adore the grey sky, it seemed to suite the whole melancholy theme much better~ It is kind of ironic though, because I am currently ill with the cold, but I am thankful for this bonus day where I can spend cuddling on my couch , drinking hearty soup and to complete this blog post.

Yes it is time for leather, fur , and  burgundy ~ Transforming my closet, dress according to the season, is my other passion. A stroll in Queen Elizabeth Park seems like the perfect thing to do on a brisk, early Sunday Morning. It is Vancouver horticultural jewel, located 152 meters above sea level it offers a marvellous view of the city. Whether you are looking for a pond to feed the ducks with the family, play tennis, wedding photoshoot, or a fancy dine out night this park offers them all~

What is Autumn without soup ? I need food that not only tastes wonderful but also makes me happy. If that's your standard too, then this soup certainly qualifies~ Recently I stumbled across this recipe composed by Canadian's most popular food blogger Elise Bauer. This recipe is called White Bean Soup with Ham, Pumpkin, and Chard. I substituted chicken for ham, trying to eliminate process food from my diet. Also instead of putting the raw pumpkin into the soup, I baked it in the oven for an hour first, making it a breeze to slice. The result was too good, and super healthy.  I am definitely going to make it again and possibly share with my dear friends~
